any road, any cost
Just to clarify to my friends who are non-Christians here. I am not against you ppl, but I'm just pissed at other people who gives funny excuses for not accepting Christ. Those who read my blog are ppl who know me very well and you know that I never condemned you for not coming to church with me yeah? So, God loves you! Hehe!! Hope that you can understand that I am human too, and there are days where my patience can only stretch till this far, dealing with blasphemers. =) Have been waiting for job applications to be approved. Currently both are still pending, and I do not know when will I be employed. Also busy with Constant Thing rehearsals! It's a drama which I will be performing in, so those who are free on 13 May 2005, 6.30pm, please come and support me! Let's see how well has Mr Campbell taught me! Hehe!! The storyline is quite simple, as it is abt an average polytechnic student who loves his life, and the things that he possess in his life, that he failed to look at what is temporal and what is not. And he eventually comes to an inner awakening of realizing what matters to him most. Actually recently I have been confused with my life. I do not know where God is leading me. My aspiration is to be a DJ, but I am no where to fulfilling this dream of mine. I do not know where God is placing me, and was feeling confused about transiting from my campus ministry, and not knowing if I will go to district or other specialized ministries or what. Basically I was very confused and was smsing and telling nana, fei and pastor gary about it when God spoke to me about His providence through this song on my way home: Leaving the safe and familiar With their hearts set on a heavenly prize There were some who laid down their nets And some who laid down their lives Not sure where they were going But they did not have to know 'Cause they knew who had called them And they said, "We will go" Down any road at any cost Wherever You lead we will follow Because we know that You've called us To take up our cross Down any road at any cost It may be fear that we're feeling We see what we must sacrifice But You promised You'll go with us So we'll trust with our lives It's Your love that compels us To do what You've called us to do And be completely abandoned to You Because we know that You've called us To take up our cross Down any road at any cost -Point of Grace, 'Any Road, Any Cost' This song is somewhat referring to the book of Luke in the Bible in Chapter 5 where Jesus begins to look for disciples and the fishermen then laid down their nets to follow Jesus, not sure of what lies ahead of them. God is also assuring me even when I'm going to move from the 1.4m pool to the Olympic-sized swimming pool, He will be my float. He will guide me and lead me, and refresh me with His word, even though I may not be in a dynamic and vibrant atmosphere like my campus ministry, but He will use me to make an impact in other peoples' lives! Thank God! =) peaceful de rei. |
