I've already tendered my resignation letter, and will be leaving on the 14th Dec. I really wanna thank God and all those friends who kept me in prayer all these while! Indeed, God opens the right door at the right time. It all began on Hari Raya, when Pinch felt the urge to look through the Classifieds for no particular reason. When she turned the pages, her eyes automatically zoomed to an average column: Warner Music Singapore is looking for a Mandarin Promos Assistant. She immediately thought of me and another fren, and smsed me the email to send my resume to. As I was at Don's house that day, I couldn't send in my resume and I forgot all about it. One or two weeks later, I was reminded of it and asked Pinch if Warner had contacted the other fren who applied, and her reply was no. Fearing that Pinch might find out if I didn't submit my resume (which means not taking her seriously in a sense), and also giving it a try since it's already a week or more and they had yet to contact anyone, I submitted my resume at work. The same week, the person called us to go for an interview after work. Since Keppel Towers and my current workplace is only two roads apart, it was easy to drop by for interview after work. We had a comfortable and enjoyable chat and I had to introduce anything I know about the artiste based on the CDs chosen for me among two stacks of CDs.I think I did averagely, cos I really don't know much about Koda Kumi and TVXQ. On the following Tues, I received a call from them the same day I got promoted to the 'DVD Dept' of my current workplace. I was called for a second interview on the following Wed. During the second interview, they revealed that out of 100 plus applicants who applied for the job, they only short-listed FOUR ppl. I really thank God for I don't go for second interviews everytime. This time, they told me that they need to hire another assistant to help out, and that my chances are high. They were a bit shocked when I told them that I had to give my current company one month's notice. But they were cool about it. They told me that I will know the result at the end of the week. Friday came. No call from them. Weekends came. No call from them. Comes Mon, when I already started to give up. The phone didn't ring for one whole day, and I was asking God why not he give me revelation/affirmation/confirmation, rather than I think more than I should and end up hearing wrongly from Him. All I felt was peace with me, though I wasn't very cheerful either. On the way home, I spoke to God and got assured that He knows the desires of my heart, and that He has my best interests at heart. Seek the Giver and not the Gift. So I told God in the lift that if I step out of the lift and reach home and they haven't call, I should give up. After all, which employer will allow a new person to come in one month later? Soon, when I exited from the lift, my hp rang. I was so excited when the person told me that I've got in! After I hung up, I was uncontrollable. I started tearing and wailing tat I've finally got what I wanted! It was tears of joy, I assure you. =) Basically my job scope is to draft Chinese press releases, bring Warner artistes out for shoots and recording, do admin work and create promo strategies for the artistes. Artistes are mostly Superstars and Superband. =) Great, I can see my old friends again. Really thank God for the immense blessing to close this year. Indeed, it's a blessed closure! Wanna encourage those who are still waiting upon their dreams to surrender everything to Him and He will surely make your path straight.
